Parking Violations
If you’ve received a parking violation within the Village of Larchmont, you’ll want to make sure its taken care of as soon as possible, regardless if you’re paying it or appealing it.
There are three ways of paying a parking violation:
Online
|
Mail
|
In-Person
|
Late Payments
If a payment is not received within 30 days of the issuance of the violation, the initial fine will double. If a payment is not received within 60 days of the initial date of the issuance of the violation, it will be forwarded to the Department of Motor Vehicles and considered a scofflaw. Scofflaw status could result in an impound of the vehicle by a law enforcement agency. The end result is paying the full amount of the fine, with penalties, as well as a towing and impound fees in order to retrieve your vehicle. Please be sure to address any violations promptly.
Appealing a Parking Ticket
If you wish to appeal a parking ticket for any reason, you must submit a written appeal to the Justice Court prior to the initial due date indicated on the violation. An appeal should include, at minimum, the violation number, license plate, narrative of the explanation, specific request of the Court to consider, as well as any other relevant information to support your appeal.
You can submit a written appeal to the Village Justice Court Office during business hours:
Monday through Friday: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (except Village holidays) |
