Zoning, Planning & ARB

Some projects need to go through community approval processes based on what is involved in the scope of the project. Some examples of these instances could include (but are not limited to):

  • Expanding the footprint of a house by at least 20%. 
  • Redesigning a storefront façade, including renovating windows and installing new signage. 
  • Constructing a new building. 
  • Regrading the topography of a property. 
  • Constructing a pool. 
  • Changing a commercial property from a restaurant into a laundromat.

Please submit all documentation as follows:
  1. Planning Board Applications
    • Email all documentation in electronic pdf format to planning@larchmontny.gov
    • Submit one (1) hard copy of the complete application to the Building Department
    • Note: Applicants interested in meeting with the Planning Board must first meet with the Village's Planning Consultant. Visit the Building Department's Applications, Forms & Fees to access the application.
    • Additional applications may be necessary based on the determination of the Building Department, which include their own additional fees.
  2. Zoning Board Applications
    • Email all documentation in electronic pdf format to zoning@larchmontny.gov
    • Submit one (1) hard copy of the complete application to the Building Department
    • Additional applications may be necessary based on the determination of the Building Department, which include their own additional fees. 
  3. Architectural Review Board Applications
    • Email all documentation in electronic pdf format to architecture@larchmontny.gov
    • Hard copies:
      • For Solar or Sign/Awning applications: Submit three (3) hard copies of the complete application to the Building Department. 
      • For all other ARB applications: Submit one (1) hard copies of the complete application to the Building Department.
